I only have one thing to say on this matter, really, support your son, mama. I mean, come on, now. I don't care what your allegiances are, who you socialize with, what female/male associates of yours will now berate you in public due to this turn of events, etc., it comes down to your being supportive of your son. After all, it is he who will actually have to show up and spend time with the coaches and players for the next three-to-four years of his life.
It's not about you, it's about him, and you you just did one lousy job of giving him his moment to shine. Even more, you gave the whole state of Louisiana license to treat him like pond scum.
